King of The World by Steely Dan
When you come to know a band from their “Greatest Hits” album, you sometimes lose an entire album or two of great material you should have known. This is one such album with tracks like “Bodhisattva” and “My Old School” but this ending track is so good, I never knew about it for nearly 45 years. 45 f***in’ years I missed out on this track until my buddy Kenny shared it with me on his SACD rig after a delicious meal. From the crazy lyrics to the incredible guitar and keyboard riffs, it’s an underdog classic.
